Every fashion lover knows his name. Every woman dreams of wearing one of his dresses. And now, everyone who’s passionate about interior design and luxury interiors will definitely want to see his Paris apartment. We’re talking about Elie Saab.
Elie Saab is a Lebanese fashion designer. His main workshop is in Lebanon, with additional workshops in Milan and Paris. He’s considered to be the Arab world’s most successful designer. By 2010, Saab had dressed 102 international celebrities. Saab’s evening gowns evoke an updated 1940s glamor that attracts a high-profile clientele firmly anchored in Beirut, Paris, and Hollywood.
One might naturally expect Saab’s Paris apartment to reflect the color and sumptuousness of his couture. Although, his showroom, boutiques, and residences have a completely different aesthetic, since architect Chakib Richani, designed the spaces with a concept much more sober.
An Empire-style chandelier and rows of candles illuminate the dining room. This masterpiece is an extravagant shape full of modernity capable transforming every space in a stunning scenario. This is a natural decor piece that creates an exclusive atmosphere. The custom stainless-steel Wing table “is a contemporary touch to a classical room,” says Richani, who designed it.
These luxury interiors also feature mirrored screens that line a wall in the master bedroom. “My basic design statement is to add character through new elements that repeat, distort and attract in their own right, leaving the architectural elements untouched,” Richani explains.
