Maison & Objet 2016: The Major Trade Show Of Lifestyle Experience
Maison & Objet 2016: The Major Trade Show Of Lifestyle Experience

With the first month of the year comes one of the world’s most renowned fair – Maison & Objet! Paris has been preparing for the last couple of months for the exciting show for Home-Fashion, Home Design, Decoration and Interiors. From 22 to 26 of January, Paris Nord Villepinte will be invaded by a big range of wonderful brands with their new designs, as well as people from all over the world, professionals and non-professionals in the home design field, to attend to Maison & Objet 2016.

Maison & Objet Paris 2016, a 5-day event, is the pre-eminent design show in France and results in thousands of visitors daily. The show counts on nearly 3,000 exhibitors, of which 45% are international brands. Also, the trade fair spotlights the most outstanding names on the international design and decor scene today.

In the first of two annual editions, the decoration fair presents the latest news, innovative iconic design brands and new designers. Consisting of 8 halls, Maison & Objet is full of inspirations for decorating your house with the most beautiful design pieces from tableware to furniture, and even linen and lighting fixtures. The interior decoration show is an opportunity to discover new collections, but also to be inspired by new colors and new lifestyles. Between conferences and exhibitions, Maison & Objet is the appointment of the great followers of the interior design field.

With a design history dating back to 1995, Maison & Objet hosts the major players of the industry. In 2016, Maison & Objet Paris will be celebrating its 20th anniversary and offering fresh home ideas. Taking a ringside seat for the past 20 years to decode the international market for the home and design, Maison & Objet Paris remains faithful to its mission as a pioneer, giving visitors a new organization of its offer. The show has now shifted towards grouping by lifestyle rather than by sector and 3 main poles have thus been reconfigured:

Maison and its overarching decorative offer fills Halls 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5B with 4 sectors: Eclectic, Cosy, Elegant and Actual.

Objet, the second major pole, occupies Halls 5A and 6. It is Maison & Objet’s “concept store,” a distribution paradise with its 8 sectors: Craft, Métiers D’art, Fragrances, Cook+Design, Fresh, Complements, Kids, Fashion and Beloved.

Luxe, Design & Architecture D’intérieur are all together in Halls 7 and 8 bringing you inspirations on NOW! Design à vivre, scènes d’intérieur gallery and Maison & Objet |projets|.

This new division of the sectors make it easier for the visitor to have the feeling that the exhibition is in a store format and more like ride between galleries. Now that the Maison & Objet 2016 dates have been announced, it’s time to get to know more about the sectors of the show and see exactly what you can find there. Inspirations: Latest Creative Trends

Inspirations 2016
Each season, the Maison & Objet Observatoire de la Maison decodes new consumption behaviors to define a theme explored in the Inspirations book and staged at the show. The inspiration in 2016 is the WILD theme. Contemporary creation convenes wild spirits. Forms and materials reconnect with elements to be in line with Mother Earth. The wild poetic gleans the elementary, the raw, the misshapen, the corroded, the burnt, the scarified.
